Highlighted Investigation

In the course of doing paranormal investigations you get the opportunity to interact with some wonderful people, share in some phenomenal stories, learn amazing history, and constantly be reminded that there is more to this world than any one of us can experience alone.  This page highlights some of those experiences.

Studio 207 Salon & Spa

This picture was taken during an investigation of Studio 207.  A digital video recorder was running constantly outside of this room on the night it was taken, and no human left that room!

The ghosts of Studio 207 have shared their living space with Kristie and her staff for many years.  When her husband began renovating the salon in 2000 he began to notice his tools being moved or misplaced for short periods.  Kristie and Danielle started to see shadow figures passing by.  They often felt as if they were watched while in the salon, frequently feeling like someone was peeking at them from the area of the stairway!  They have been touched and poked and even been told that an older woman was seen looking out from their 3rd floor window - when no one was in the salon.   There are many more reports of paranormal activity within this buiding and many people have experienced it!

During the investigation, CPPRA sensitive Liz noted the presence of several entities including children, an older woman, and a rather angry, grumpy male.  Historically it was found that an older woman did indeed live in that property and actually fell down the steps and died there.  Is she the woman who still lives at Studio 207?

Using en EMF meter, contact appeared to be made with spirits in the salon who affirmed the presence of 4 different entities that night by providing a response to the number 4 when counting upwards from one.  This response was duplicated later in the evening in exactly the same manner!  There were several personal experiences including physical contact from an unseen presence.  The photo featured above was captured on the third floor of the building and was the highlight of the evidence obtained.

Since the investiation the activity within the salon has continued.  Kristie had the opportunity to consult with a sensitive who provided even more information about the ghostly inhabitants of Studio 207.  An older gentleman by the name of William was said to be present who had died in the early 1900's.   William admitted to making noise heard by visitors and staff.  He indicated to the psychic that he was in the company of his brother Edward, a mean entity named Theodore, an older woman called Mary, and  2 children known as Phillip and Daniel.

The folks at Studio 207, both living in this world and beyond, are colorful, fun, and wonderul to be with.  Is the salon haunted?  I say yes.  The Coal Region Chapter of the CPPRA is looking forward to returning to the Salon to gain more evidence of the entities who are continuing to make contact with Krstie and Danielle.

About Studio 207

On October 11, 1989, Kristie Strunk-Bogush opened Studio 207 on Spruce Street in Shamokin, PA.  In January 1992 the Salon moved to its present location on N. Liberty Street.  In addition to owning and managing the salon Kristie is a stylist along with Danielle Houtz.  Massage Therapist Seth Mattern also provides spa services for Studio 207.

Customers of the Salon are well acquainted with the uniquely wonderful and friendly personalities of the people working in Studio 207.   The Coal Region Chapter of the CPPRA had the privilege of not only interacting with Kristie and company; we also got to interact with the entities that live in the Salon!

We're Back... 6/6/09 Update!

Thanks to Kristie and friends, the Coal Region CPPRA revisited Studio 207 with a few repeat and a few new investigators to see what we might find.  As one would expect in an active paranormal site, we were in for loads of interesting interactions with the Spirits of Studio 207!

Our psychic sensitive picked up on the name of a young male who makes his appearance in the Salon and who expecially likes stylist Danielle!  "Anthony" popped in an out of the rooms we investigated that night and seemed to center his energy to making his presence known in the massage room.   Perhaps the presence of Seth, Massage Therapist, helped him to feel more comfortable presenting to us.

The picture below was taken in the massage room.  At the time, Assistant Chapter Leader Gary was in the room with Field Investigator Angel.  Both were standing next to each other at the side of the room along the wall.  No one else (at least from this world) was with them.  Take a look at the lower portion of the massage table, however....  There was nothing on the upper portion of the table...

The first of 3 consecutive shots, all time stamped at 9:40 PM.

The next two photos were taken immediately after this one.  All were time stamped at 9:40 PM.   Our massage table guest is no longer present.

Combined with several personal experiences this night, and some other photos that can be viewed with our other evidence on the Photos page, we again find proof that Studio 207 is haunted!

Thanks to everyone who participated, and especially the friendly Spirits of Studio 207!
